Our skilled team of Physical Therapists provides personalized, on-site care in our Beverly office. We proudly serve athletes and individuals of all ages and activity levels, helping patients recover from injury, surgery, or chronic orthopedic conditions. Our therapists specialize in post-operative rehabilitation, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, functional movement screening (FMS), electrical stimulation, gait analysis, and return-to-sport training.
Through hands-on care, advanced techniques, and customized exercise programs, our PTs are dedicated to helping each patient restore strength, mobility, and confidence—whether your goal is running a road race, climbing a mountain, sailing around the world, or simply lifting your child or grandchild with ease.

Mike is a Physical Therapist joining Coastal Orthopedics with 22 years of experience in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
Mike has been practicing as a Physical Therapist working in the outpatient setting to rehabilitate patients both pre- and post-operatively across New England. He has worked with athletes in a variety of sports helping them to return to full functional activity following injury. Mike’s dedication to helping patients move better using a functional movement and mobility system has been the focus of his training. His belief is that moving effectively and efficiently over a lifetime minimizing the dysfunctions of movement and correcting asymmetries is a key component to a long healthy life.
Mike is an avid runner and a New England native who loves skiing, hiking, and going to the beach with his family. Mike is also the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track/Field Coach for Hampton Academy in Hampton NH.

Sara Addesa, PT, MS comes to Coastal Orthopedics with over 22 years of experience. Sara spent the beginning of her career treating individuals with severe neurological and orthopedic injuries at Spaulding Hospital and Boston Medical before transitioning to outpatient orthopedics 15 years ago. Sara's philosophy of treatment is to look at her patients' overall biomechanics from head to toe, in order to restore to full function and prevent reinjury. She takes a special interest in treating runners, and her favorite joint, the shoulder.
When not at work, Sara is physically active herself with weight training, running and bringing any of her 3 kids to all of their activities. During her free time in the summer, Sara is happiest at any local beach or at her family's summer home on the coast of Maine.

Meet Erin Anderson, PT, MSPT

Erin has over 24 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and Homecare physical therapy. She has a special interest in treating patients with back pain, specifically post-surgical especially after undergoing her own spinal fusion surgery in 2025.
When she is not working, you can find her training at the gym for Strongman competitions where she is currently 4th in the world in her weight class.

Dan joins Coastal Orthopedics with 7 years of outpatient orthopedic experience in physical therapy. He has worked with all age groups helping them achieve their goals of returning to sport or just having an overall better quality of life. Dan likes to help patients see the value in movement and exercise to help them enjoy the things they love to do.

Outside of the clinic, Dan enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and golfing as well as spending time with his friends and family and finding new local restaurants to enjoy.

Kathy is a Physical Therapist Assistant with 15 years experience in outpatient sports and orthopedic Physical Therapy where she has helped patients of all populations and injuries complete the cycle of recovery. She worked in Athletic Training as an Undergraduate of URI and has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 1997. She enjoys collaborating with patients to help them return to the activities and life that they love.
Kathy loves spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, working out and gardening with her husband and family.

Erin is a Physical Therapist Assistant with 13 years in outpatient sports and school-based physical therapy experience where she has worked with patients of all ages and populations to reach their physical therapy goals. Erin has over 10 years of experience as a certified personal trainer and enjoys helping clients and patients get back to an active lifestyle.

​Erin enjoys challenging herself in a variety of fitness pursuits, including running, yoga, Pilates and weight training. She lives in Swampscott with her husband and enjoys traveling, dining out and attending concerts and live music events.
